What is Placenta Encapsulation?
Placenta Encapsulation is the process of preparing your placenta into capsule form for consumption to aid in the mother’s postpartum recovery.

I use size "0" because they are easier to swallow for most clients.

PROPER REFRIGERATION AND TRANSPORTATION PROTOCOLS
Proper refrigeration during storage and transportation is crucial as bacteria can colonize if not properly handled. I have the training necessary to safely transport your placenta for preparation.
I ONLY WORK ON ONE PLACENTA AT A TIME
Nothing is more important than your safety, so I only work on one placenta at a time. If two clients give birth on the same day I complete the first placenta, fully disinfect and then begin the second placenta. Every client receives my full attention to detail and safety. My service does not end when I deliver your capsules. I am available any time to consult and answer any questions you have regarding your placenta products.
PREPARATION AREA IS PROPERLY DISINFECTED
The entire preparation surface is thoroughly disinfected before and after with a bleach solution, the dilution of which exceeds OSHA protocols to prevent cross contamination. I also do a clean water rinse to remove bleach residue.
EQUIPMENT IS PROPERLY DISINFECTED
Most of the equipment I use is disposable, and only used for your placenta processing. Because there is some equipment that comes in contact with many clients, it is imperative that it be properly disinfected every single use in order to prevent cross contamination. My protocol requires everything be washed in hot soapy water, rinsed, then fully immersed in a 10% bleach solution for 20 minutes, followed by a final clean water rinse to remove bleach residue. This is the standard required by OSHA & the EPA for disinfection and is designed to kill STIs and blood borne pathogens.
